Poshmark Fee Calculator
One commission, two tiers, and a threshold that decides which one you get.
Short answer
Poshmark charges a flat $2.95 on sales under $15 and a 20% commission on sales of $15 or more. There are no listing fees, no payment processing fees and no monthly subscription. On a $50 sale the commission is $10.00 and the payout is $40.00. On a $10 sale the flat fee is $2.95 — an effective rate of 29.5%, which is why experienced sellers rarely list single items below $15.

The $15 line is the whole story
Poshmark's commission has exactly one branch. Below $15 you pay a flat $2.95 no matter the price. At $15 and above you pay 20% of the sale price.
That single threshold creates a steep cliff at the bottom of the catalogue. A $5 sale loses 59% to fees. A $14 sale loses about 21%. Cross the line at $15 and the rate drops to a clean 20% — and stays there forever, however expensive the item.
What is not in the fee
Poshmark charges nothing to list, nothing to relist and nothing to process the payment. The commission is the only seller-side fee.
Shipping is separate and normally buyer-paid: a flat rate covering a prepaid label. If you offer a shipping discount or free shipping as part of an offer, that difference comes out of your payout — and it is often larger than the commission on a cheap item.
Why bundling is the standard answer
Three $8 items sold separately incur the flat fee three times: $8.85 of fees on $24 of sales. Bundled into one $24 listing, the same goods pay a single 20% commission of $4.80 — keeping an extra $4.05 for no additional work.
The rule that follows is simple: below $15, bundle rather than list, or price up.

20%- commission on sales of $15 and above, calculated on the item price only
Assumptions
- US Poshmark, USD. Canadian sellers use a different threshold in Canadian dollars.
- The commission is calculated on the item price, not on shipping — Poshmark bills shipping to the buyer separately.
- Seller-funded shipping discounts and weight upgrades are recorded as costs, not fees, because they reduce your payout rather than paying Poshmark.

Fee breakdown

$2.95−$2.95
The flat $2.95 is 24.6% of the sale. Three dollars more on the price would have moved it into the 20% tier.

Common mistakes
Listing singles below $15
The flat fee scales badly on cheap items. Bundling three items into one listing routinely saves several dollars per sale.
Forgetting that shipping discounts come out of your payout
A "free shipping" offer on a $20 item costs you the full label. On cheap items that is a bigger hit than the commission itself.
Assuming 20% is the rate at every price
It only applies from $15 upward. Below that, the effective rate is worse — sometimes much worse.
Ignoring the price-drop effect
The commission is calculated on the price the buyer actually pays. Every accepted offer and price drop reduces the sale and therefore the fee, but it also reduces your revenue by more.
Pricing at exactly $15 to "save a cent"
The tiers cross over at about $15.05. At $14.99 you keep $12.04 after the flat fee; at $15.00 the 20% commission is $3.00 and you keep $12.00 — marginally worse. Price below $15 or above $15.05, never right on the line.
Questions
- How much does Poshmark take from a $50 sale?
- Twenty percent, so $10.00. You receive $40.00 before accounting for shipping discounts, packaging or what you paid for the item.
- Does Poshmark have listing fees?
- No. Listing, relisting and sharing are free, and there is no payment processing fee on the seller side. The commission is the only seller fee.
- Why is the fee $2.95 on a cheap item?
- Any sale under $15 is charged the flat fee rather than a percentage. On a $5 sale that is 59% of the price, which is why most sellers bundle or price up to at least $15.
- Is the commission charged on shipping?
- No. Poshmark bills the buyer a flat shipping rate separately, and the commission is calculated on the item price alone.
- What happens if I offer free shipping?
- Poshmark deducts the shipping cost from your payout. It is not a fee, but it affects your net just as much — and on a $20 item it can exceed the commission.
- Do Canadian Poshmark sellers pay the same fee?
- The structure is the same but the threshold is in Canadian dollars — C$3.95 under C$20 and 20% at C$20 and above. Always check Poshmark's current fee page for your market.
- Is the fee the same on offers and bundles?
- Yes in structure — it is calculated on the final price the buyer pays after any accepted offer or bundle discount.
